Mr. and Mrs. Jerol Sutton, Mr. and
Mrs. Clarence Summers and their
children returned Sunday from their
months' vacation trip back to IUi-
nois, the boyhood home state of the
two men. The Quelle Cafe, which
they operate was re-opened for busi­
ness Tuesday morning.
Leo Ellis, 36, of Coquille, was
brought to the CoquiUe Hospital last
Thursday night. He is employed in
the fir mill of the Smith plant and
suffered a broken back when a cable
broke and he was hit by a cantilevert
His condition and improvement are
very satisfactory.
The reported sale of Church &
Simpson’s Richfield service station on
Front street was (.somewhat prema­
ture. The deal has not been com­
pleted, although Clovis Church says
there are prospects.
A purse containing money ' was
found on the street this morning. It
awaits a claimant at the Sentinel
office.

Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Don Auer,
of the Roy district, Dec. SO, an 8 V,
pound baby boy,
Reuben Young, of Langlois, under­
went a major operation last Satur­
day.
Mrs. Christina Ameson, of Marsh­
field, entered for treatments on Sun­
day.
Hal, the five-year old son of Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Stevens, underwent
a minor operation yesterday and
this morning Marjorie Clouse sub­
mitted to a major operation.
Dr. Richmond found it necesary to
take off the end of a finger, which
had been injured on the right hand
of Harry Simpson.
Dismissals from the hospital were
BUI Hughes last week, Mrs. Frances
Sell, ot Riverton, on Monday and
Harry Keller yesterday.
