A short business meeting was held, the roll call being answered by scrip ture verses. Mrs. Bessie Marney had charge of the devotions and read the Christmas story from the gospel of St. Luke, after which she gave a splendid talk. Mn. V. R. Wilson, in charge of the program gave a very interesting talk on missionary work In different foreign countries. Mn. It. D. E. Smith read a letter from the Dunbars, who are working in South America. A duet entitled, “The Harvest Call,” was sung by Mn. Coy and Aileen Wilson. Mn. Steward read an article telling of the Christians among the low caste people of India. Miss Aileen Wilson read a poem, “Do Missions Pay.” Following the meeting, refresh ments were served. Visitors from Bandon were: Rev. and Mn. Parka, Mesdames C. A. Petty and Ruth, Vi vian Leuthold, Ruth Curren, Fred Riley, Selma Neal, Kenyon and Me cum. Other visitors were: Rev. and Mty. Cornwall, Mn. Byrd and Mn. Parsons, of North Bend, and Mn. Elizabeth Johnson, of Marshfield. Those from Coquille were: Mesdames G. A. Gray, May Bates and J. A. Newton. Members present were: Mesdames Geo. Smith, R. D. K. Smith, Emily Smith, Irvine Miller, Bessie Marney, Elizabeth Van Fleet, O. M. Potter, Eva English, Ada Howard, Chas. Newton, V. R. Wilson, Frances Holmstrom, H. L. Johnson, Hattie Coy, Grace Owens, Lucy Train, Ida Mae Steward, Fern Schroeder, Mar tha Denser, Lewis English, Frank Fish, Lawrence Darnell, Misses Aileen Wilson, Dorothy Caudle, Helen, Jean and Mary Lou Newton and Margaret Steward.
