Home Economics On "Core Of The Hair" Home Economics extension meet ings scheduled for the month of May will take up the demonstration on “Care of the Hair.” These meetings will ^e held on Thursday, May 11, at the Sumner Hall; Friday, May 13, at Norway; Tuesday, May 16, at the Powers Fellowship Hall; Wednesday, May 17, at Dora, home of Mrs. M. C. Miller; Thursday, May 18, at Bay view, home of Mrs. Moffit; Friday, May 19, at Bandon, Presbyterian Church; Tuesday, May 33, at the Fair view Grange Hall at Fairview; Wed nesday, May 34, at the North Bay side Grange Hall, and Thursday, May 33, at Green DeU. The demonstration covers steps in care of the hair and beauty. A model from the extension units will be the subject on which hair arrangement and waving are illustrated. Several recipes far preparing rinses, shampoos, water softeners and waving lotions, will be given during the meetings. Hooton Electric Shop. s The Coos county B elementary school track meet will be held May 13 at the Bridge school, commencing at 9:30 a, m. Ribbons will be given to the win ners of the first three places in each event and a pennant will be awarded to the school winning the meet. Boys’ events will include sprints, high jump, broad jump, pole vault, and shot put. Girls' events will consist of sprints and baseball throw. Clarence E. Ellison, principal of the Bridge school, and Curtis Beckham, principal of the Remote school, are in charge of general arrangements. Commencement At Bridge School Henry H. Hartley, superintendent of schools at Bandon, will deliver the commencement address at the Bridge school auditorium. May 17 at 8:13 p. m. OXjuille High school cinder men will enter the district meet at Med ford tomorrow (Friday) with the county championship under their belt by virtue of a two point margin in the county meet last Friday after noon at Myrtle Point, nosing out the Myrtle Point team 52 to 50 in a see saw affair that ran neck and neck throughout the afternoon, with neith er of the leaders ever being more than five points apart in standing at any time. Marshfield placed third with 39 3/3 points, North Bend was fourth with 13 3/5 points and Bandon fin ished fifth with four points.
