Coquille Red Devil« made certain
at Myrtle Point last Friday evening
that they would get into the district
tournament on Friday and Saturday
of next week by winning their fourth
game of the season from the Myrtle
Point. Bobcats, 20 to 14. The game
was played in the Miyrtle Point high
school.
By scoring nine of his team’s score
Rolph Fuhrman boosted his total for
the season to 102 and still retained
his lead as leading scorer of the con
ference.
In Friday night’s game the Red
Devils clicked as Coach Leslie has
been hoping they would all season
and did not break once. The game
was fast but remarkably few fouls
were called by the officials, eight on
Coquille and three on Myrtle Point.

Lincoln School News
The date for the Lincoln School
operetta has been definitely set for
the evening of Thursday, March ».
Over eighty of the members of the
student body will be included in the
cast and choruses of "The Band Wag
on,” which promises to be very col
orful and entertaining. All members
are working hard and giving freely of
their time for necessary after-school
practices. This evening will also be
the occasion of the first public ap
pearance of the Lincoln School junior
band, which will entertain the audi
ence between acts.
Every member of the student body
will have the opportunity of doing
something toward making the pre
sentation a success. At present the
industrial arts class under the su
pervision of Mr. Smith is planning
on the construction of necessary stage
scenery; Miss Dunton’s art class is
aiding in the making at advertising
posters; the sixth grade is using an
activity period for the making of
stage properties under the direction
of Mrs. Stewart Those not now em
ployed will get their chance to help
later in advertising and selling tick
ets.
