Fitz gibbons, of Myrtle Point, who are leaving for Oakland, Calif., soon. _Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Davis, alee of Myrtle Point. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Podvent enter tained Mr. and Mrs. Russell Brown and Patty for dinner last Wednesday night to celebrate their seventh wed ding anniversary. Mrs. M. M. Newdall entertained most informally Wednesday with two tables of bridge. The guests met for one-fifteen o’clock dessert luncheon. Contract followed: Mrs. R. L. Stewart winning high score, Mrs. D. E. Rack leff, second, and Mrs. J. E. Axtell, consolation. Burton Johnson celebrated his fif teenth birthday with a party at his home last Wednesday evening. The ladies later went to Mrs. Hazard’s home where an afternoon of contract bridge was enjoyed. Pres ent were: Mesdames F. S. Emery, J. A. Lamb, F. Greenough, R. A. Wernich, M. Earl Wilson, R. E. Boob er, H. L. Claterbos, Lafe Compton and the hostess. The Duplicate dub met at the home of Mrs. J. L. Aasen Friday for one o’clock dessert luncheon. Duplicate contract was played during the after- 'noon with Mrs. Frank Thrift and Mrs. R. E. Boober high for the after noon’s play. Present were: Mes dames A. B. Collier, E. M. Kay, Hal1 Pierce, U. E. McClary, R. E. Boober, Frank Thrift, Mary McKeown and the hostess. Mrs. T. J. Matthews was hostess to a few friends for one-thirty o’clock dessert Monday afternoon. Contract bridge was played, Mrs. Charles Por ter winning high score. Guests in cluded:'* Mesdames Eugene Reed, Charles Porter, Frank Martin, Orville Hughes, Fred Grant, Wm. MacKnight and Kenneth Henninger. The “Pythian Home Club” met at the home of Mrs. E. L. Perrott Tues day for one-fifteen o’clock dessert luncheon. The rooms were attrac tively decorated with bouquets of spring flowers. The members spent the afternoon sewing for the Pythian Home. Present were: Mesdames Jack Arnold, W. E. Cross, Blanche Davis, Warren Davis, Fred Hickok, W. L. Kistner, Neil McGilvery, Frank Schram, Harold Varney, J. J. Stan ley, E. A. Wimer and the hostess. The club will meet in two weeks at Mrs. D. B.
