L. Graybeal In addition to the real estate, live stock, automobiles, farm machinery, furniture, stoves, radios, and scores of other things to be auctioned off at the Community Building, Feb. 25, there will be many valuable personal belongings offered for sale. We will sell Don Estes’ fly rod and fly book (if his wife will give them to us), all of George Moulton's fishing tackle (if his sister will give it to us), and the Rev. R. A E. Smith’s hunting dog (if his neighbors will give him to us). We are also hoping to have Muri Pettit’s wading boots and S. F. Stev ens’ deer gun, since neither of these gentlemen will be using these articles again, according to last reports. And if Mrs. James Richmond is successful in bringing the doctor’s complete set of Henry George’s books to the auc tion, there will be a splendid oppor tunity for some serious student of single tax. We hope Dr. Bunch will donate a pair pf nine-horse-power forceps for the sale, or he may give a large pair instead. We are de pending on George Jenkins to bring a good 4-H calf, and Sheriff Howell will undoubtedly be ready to offer a number of good meal tickets. This sale promises to be far larger than was at first anticipated. Every day brings an Increase in the number of articles promised far the auction. And as people learn that the purpose is to retire the debt on Pioneer Church, there is a willingness on the part of everyone to help in a material way. Fqlly a thousand people from out of town are expected to be in Co quille the day of the sale, as it will be advertised throughout Coos and Curry counties.
