During the past three years Coos County’s debt has been
reduced greatly and will continue so if present plans are
carried on.
Cash revenues have been materially increased.
County properties sold brought a reasonable return.
Miles of roads and bridges have been built. Thousands of
yards of rock have been spread for maintenance with a fair
and just distribution of funds over the county as far as pos­
sible considering amount of traffic.
Relief demands have been large.
Wages have be$n materially increased.
Many other demands and obligations have been met. While
doing this we have spent several thousands of dollars below
our Budget allowances. .
Coos County’s welfare must be protected—but we must re­
duce our indebtedness while we do so.
All the above statements can be verified from county records.
