Mrs Mabie Laird left by Tuesday morning's bus for Xureka, Calif., where she will remain this summer. She has an apartment there which is within 30 miles of where her eon. Young and daughter, Carol, returned Sunday evening from a trip to Portland on which they left Saturday. Mrs. Young, who accom panied them, remained for a longer visit with the new grandson. They stopped at Corvallis on the way north and found Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thomas feeling quite well. Ray is looking well but finds it still Inadvisable to do any strenuous labor. Mn. Martin family en joyed a visit from Tuesday evening until Thursday morning, • from his mother, Mrs. Kate Martin, of Ho quiam, Wa»h, and old friends of the family, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Phil brick, of Raymond, Wash. Mrs. Mar tin was visiting at Raymond and sug gested they might all come to Co quille. They left at 7 a. m. Tuesday and arrived here at 6:30 p. m. that day. On Wednesday they drove down to Gold Beach.
