the new president of the Oregon
Young Democratic clubs. Supported
by the W. L. Oosalin faction, he tri­
umphed over A. Ray Martin, of Eu­
gene, in the voting at the state con­
vention in North Bend Saturday.
Walter Tooze III, also of Oswego, and
himself a candidate for the place
previous to the convention, joined in a
coalition effected by Howard ¿4-
tourette, national
committeeman.
supporting Martin but this last min­
ute swing was not sufficient to halt
the
organization machine which
functioned perfectly. Pendleton was
selected for the 193« convention.
