A ■e Sentinel THE PAPER THAT’S LIKE A LETTER FROM HOME ....... . ................... — VOL. XXXII. COQUILLE, COOS COUNTY, OREGON. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 1936. NO. 46. $2.6* THE YEAR I TODRILLATONGE What Red Cross Will Do R. E. Gillette. Red Cross official who is assistant to J. W. Richardson, director of disaster relief for the Red Cross at Randon, met with the execu tive committee of the Coquille Amer ican Legion post Wednesday evening and for two hours went over the Red Cross program for Bandon rehabilita tion. He also explained the activity of the Red Cross in disasters like that at Bandon and all differences of opin ion were amicably settled. Mr. Gillette made the positive statement that all sufferers from th* fire who lost their home, household furniture and equipment, and who applied to the Red Cross for that pur pose, would have a suitable house, furniture and furnishings provided by the Red Cross. It may not be as elaborate a home as the applicant formerly occupied, but it will be comfortable. He said that $30,000 to $35,000 for such rehabilitation had already been received by the Red Cross apd that possibly $120,000 more would be added to it by the Red Cross national headquarters. Each family will be provided with a liveable home whether it is alto gether what they would like to have or not. * • t The grand jury made a partial re port to Judge Brand in Circuit court here on Tuesday.
