Traveling Kitchen Coming Wed.
Home kitchens will be deserted next
Wednesday for a visit to the cream,
blue and red traveling kitchen of The
Oregonian Home Institute, , which
comes here under the auspices of the
Coquille Parent-Teachers association.
Miss Aroene Davey will conduct
the demonstration on the stage of
the Community Building February
M, at 2:15’o’clock.
Miss Davey, an authority on mod
em cooking technique, bring» her
compact, portable kitchen on a truck
and sets it up in half an hour in each
town visited.
She will prepare a
meal on the stage, demonstrating the
latest in methods and menus.
The lecture will be on “Unusual
but practical meals,” one of four
cooking programs offered by the In
stitute. Thrift cooking, food market
ing,
kitchen
arrangements, food
preservation and menu planning will
be included in her talk.
Printed copies of all recipes used
will be distributed to those in the au
dience. The school is open to the
public, and while the visiting Home
Economist will make no charge for
her services, a small benefit charge
•A 10c will be made by the local spon-
ror« to buy books for the school li
braries. Door prizes will be given.
Tickets will be sold by the school
children.
