better enforcement of the law against
set nets—one man reported he en
countered 62 between Riverton -and
Bandon. The others were closing the
river to commercial fishing and blast
ing out of the rocks in Brewster can
yon so that the salmon could ascend to
the headwaters to deposit their eggs;
either that or fish ways by which the
salmon could overcome the natural
obsatcles. These mattery were left to
the chamber’s fish and game com
mission, consisting of Mr. Oillespie,
A. N. Gould and Drue Cunningham.
