Knife Hospital Little Barbara Jean Carpenter, of j Coquille, operated on ten days ago for appendicitis, was able to leave the hospital Thursday. Mrs. F. Moore, of Coquille, who had a major operation March 7. is recov ering nicety. Mrs. Lora Shinn, who injured her shoulder and hip in a fall, is improv ing. Daks Hayworth, of Myrtle Point, operated on for appendicitis, was dis missed last Saturday. Mrs. C- G. Caughell, of Coquille, underwent 'a major operation Mon day from which she is recovering rapidly. Mrs. Walter Oerding submitted to a major operation Tuesday. Mrs. Earl Jacobsen and young son were dismissed March 12th. Mrs. Eva Foster, of Bandon, was operated on Wednesday as was also Tom Herbert, of Coquille. Mrs Lydia Strader, of Bandon, was able! to leave the hospital Wednesday. Mr* John Nodine, of Coquille, submitted to a major operation Thursday afternoon. Activities The Women's Bible class of the Church of Christ held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Aaron Wilson Wednesday afternoon. This class, which sponsors various kinds of church and civic activities, de cided to hold a kitchen shower on Wednesday of next week, for the purpose of adding to their church kitchen and dining room equipment, preparatory to the entertaining of The county conference of the church, an all-day affair, which will be held on Saturday of next week. The ladies meeting with Mrs. Wilson were Mes- dames Swinney, Staninger, Newton, Bailey, Wimer, Farr, Brown, Lew- ellyn, Schaer, Harry, Bean, Smith and Maury. Mr. and Mrs. Fred McNelly were hosts to a duplicate contract tourna ment at their home .last Friday eve ning. The evening’s play resulted in high scores for Mrs. James Brady and Mr. McNelly, with Mr. and Mrs. Stew art Norton second high. The same group will meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. M.
