Mrs. Mettle Peterson entertained at her home N&w Year’s eve, a group of children, including Aaron and Ronald Holbrook, Grorge Kight, Miles Hartwell, Evelyn Olsen, Doro thy and Donald Dewey, Gilbert Hol brook and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Hol brook. The evening was gpent play ing games and at twelve all of the children helped ring the old church bell.* Riverton was greatly grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Plaep, of Coquille. The family is very well known here. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Plaep and family have been residents here for a number of years. This community extends its greatest sym pathy to the bereaved family. Hilda Olson has been confirmed as executor of the will of August Olson, who died at North Bend, Dec. 16. E M. Shriver, August Frlzeen and C. B. Sundbaum were named as ap praisers of the 15,000 personal pro perty estate. Lester A. Borgard was yesterday appointed administrator of the es tate of his father, Gustav G. Borgard. who died Dec. 16. He died from an injury to the spine that caused paralysis of the lower part of his body, including the bowels. He seemed to have been doomed by ill luck.
