Thursday, Dec. 30, the school bus
of this district was compelled to de
tour by the Lee route to get to Co
quille because of fallen trees on the
Fairview mountain, making the road
impassable
Because of this delay,
the bus was unavoidably late. An oc
currence of this sort is certainly un
pleasant to the driver and those who
ride the bus and they hope to see
much of the roadside timber cleared
away soon so that the daily trips can
be made without fear of falling snags.

The Fairview Sunday school had
an unusually large attendance last
Sunday, considering the people who
attended the program Saturday eve-
ning. Approximately fifty people
were present, the number being just
one more than the previous Sunday.
Most of the valley residents spent
Christmas day at their homes, but
those who went visiting were: Mr.

friends in Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs.
