represented the Riverton high school
at the Girls’ League Conference in
Coquille Saturday. They all voiced
the opinion that it was the finest
meeting of that nature that they had
eves witnessed and gained much val­
uable information in regard to car­
rying on of a league in this district.
However besides this, Riverton was
quite well recognized. Levelle Wal-
strom, chairman for this conference
is a former Riverton student; Evelyn
Miller, of Riverton, was chosen as
vice president for the Southwestern
Girls' League Association; and Eve­
lyn Berry, of Myrtle Point, elected
treasurer, is also a former Riverton
student

The grade school operetta is ready
for the final rehearsals which are be­
ing held in the gymnasium. The title
of the play is “On Christmas Hill”
and it will be held Friday afternoon
at one-thirty o’clock in the gymnasi­
um. It is arranged in Jfaree acts, with

Spirit of Christmas sends her mes-
