Cougars Defeated Bandon
The Coquille Cougars defeated Ban
don on the lattera* field laat Sunday,
by a score of 19 to 5. Bandon was
handicapped by not having some of
her regulars.
Manager McNair of
Bandon used throe pitchers in trying
to stop the Cougars’ barrage of hits.
Davis and Donaldson were the big
sticks of the game, each getting four
hits in five times at bat. Collier and
Hansen made up the Cougar battery.
Collier had lots of stuff on the ball,
striking out nine men. Hansen caught
a heady game behind- the bat and has
an arm that the opponents will learn
to respect.
Jarvis and Helferstine made up the
Bandon battery. Jarvis lasted about
five innings. When the battery was
changed in favor of Laird and Conn,
dualities.
¿chief Frank Schram the Junior League battery, Conn
lasted two and one-half innings and
was replaced by Wade, who finished
the game.
The Bandon team will play the Cou
gars at Coquille, Sunday, May 27.
