Albert Spencer, Mr. and Mra. J. A. Jones and two children, Clara and LdRoy, of Oakalnd, Oregon, end Mr. and Mrs. Roy Perkins, of Lookingglass, came in Tuesday to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hoffman. Mr. and Mra. Perkins and Mr. and Mra. Jones and children re turned home Wednesday. Mr. and Mra. Spencer remained for a longer visit. Mrs. Hoffman is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer. Mrs. Hal Giipatrick is confined to her home thia week with an attack of flu. Mias La'Vaun Aaaen came in from Ashland Normal Friday evening and spent that night at the home of her aunt, Mra. E. F. Bandon was handicapped by not having some of her regulars. Manager McNair of Bandon used throe pitchers in trying to stop the Cougars’ barrage of hits. Davis and Donaldson were the big sticks of the game, each getting four hits in five times at bat. Collier and Hansen made up the Cougar battery. Collier had lots of stuff on the ball, striking out nine men. Hansen caught a heady game behind- the bat and has an arm that the opponents will learn to respect. Jarvis and Helferstine made up the Bandon battery. Jarvis lasted about five innings.
