The Lecturer’s hour included a talk on the Grange Obligation by the Master, Harold James; discussion of the Obligation and its meaning by several members; an Irish song by Wm. Lillie, and a short talk by Mr Denn, a visitor from Camas Valley Grange. It was announced that there would be a roll call at the next meet ing on “What I Have Learned from the Initiato." Strawberries and cream, cake and coffee were served oy the refreshment committee. Mias Lilah Luttrell, who is em ployed at the veneer plant at Booth, spent the past week-end here at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mr». Roy S. Luttrell. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Culver were dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Louise Minkler, at MaraHfield Sat- urday, while on a business trip to the Bay cities. Mrs. Hattie Hatcher went to Arago Wednesday to visit until Sunday with Mrs. L. M. Aasen and other friends. Mrs. Claude Shields is assisting Miss Mae Hatcher in the store during her mother’« absence. . v - ’ . Orlin Lett, Maude Hooton, Myrtle Beckett and Mae Hatcher returned home Monday afternoon from the state Christian Endeavor convention at Salem. Robert Steele, of Myrtle Point, also made the trip with them. Elmer Brownson is recovering from an attack of flu, from which he has >een suffering for over a week. “Qualities that make for Success,’’ is the topic for Christian Endeavor next Sunday and Junior Bartlett is the appointed leader.
