A delightful day was spent at the Arago community church Sunday. AL ter the morning services a potluck dinner was enjoyed by a group of ISO, the occasion being the regular execu tive meeting of Myrtle Union, which was held in the afternoon, with the president, Mrs. Myrtle Benham, as chairman. About sixty members from other churches were present, representing practically all Christian Endeavors of the county. Very sat isfactory reports were given by the delegatee and a general business meeting followed. The next meeting will be held at «he , Presbyterian church in North Bend March 11. The ladies of the Aid and Mission ary soeities of Arago community church met at the borne of Mrs. Al lert Lillie for a union meeting one day this week. Sewing for the Aid was the diversion of the morning and a potluck dinner was held at noon. In the afternoon the regular business meeting of the missionary society was held. The meeting was opened with a scripture reading by Mrs. Ernest Wetkins. Reading pf the minutes then followed by the secretary, Mrs. Tyrrell Woodward, and a prayer by Rev. Mallory Flanagin, of Coquille. A solo by Mrs. S. C. McAllister was followed by readings on foreign mis sions by Mra. Ernest Weibe, Mrs. Nile Miller, Mra. Naomi Robison, Mra. C. E. Seven new mem bers were initiated, making a total of fifty-two, or nineteen over last year’s membership. E.'-Dietz received word from their son, Golan, that he has been promoted to a corporal. He is in the Marine corps base at Saa Diego, California. M. Stover. Mrs. W. M. Barger left Monday for Halls Creek, where she will spend several days at the home of her friend, Mrs. Watkins. Mr. and Mrs. John Carver returned to Tyee after spending a few days in Myrtle Print, looking after business affairs. Mrs. Guy Woodcock, of Portland, visited several days at the home of her sister, Mrs. Roy Garrett, and ie spending this week with relatives at Broadbent.
