Many of her friends drop ped in for a few minutes during the afternoon to congratulate her and in the evening a family dinner was en joyed with all her children around her but one daughter, Mrs. 6. fi. Norton, of Redding, Calif., who is expected here for a visit some time soon. Seated at the dinner were Mrs. Lorenz, Mr. and Mns. M. J. (Hartson, Mr. and Mrs. George Lorenz, Dr. and Mrs. C. A. Rietman, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lorenz, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Lorenz, Mr. and Mrs. Muri Pettit, Misses Avis and Virginia Hartson, Randlopb Lorenz, and from Bandon, Mr. aiutSMro. Fred Moore, Mr. Chas. Lorenz and Harry Lorenz. On Monday Mrs. J. L. Aasen was* 1 hostess to the Ecadrien club members with, Mr*. Frank Thrift and Mrs. Ar thur Fish’ as extra guests, besides the members, Mesdames Roy 'Neal, Geo. Johnson, Willard Bosserman, Earl Nosier, J. E. Axtell and E. A. Walker. 3 M < A delightful luncheon party was given today by Mrs. 0. C. Sanford and Mrs. Lloyd Rosa at which time they invited a group of Bandon ladies and a number of their daughters. The af- fair was held at the home of Mrs Sanford on South Elliott street. Those included were Mesdames R. H. Rosa, C. Y. Lowe, E. Capps, J. E. Walstrom Lowell Simpson, L. J. Radley, Archie Rosa, H. E. Thrift, Thoe. Robinson Otto C. Shindler, W. J. Sweet, C. D. Garoutte, Robt. Norton, A. E. Wal strom, Misses Florence and Katherine Thrift, Helen Sweet, Levelle Wal strom, Betty Rosa, Blanche Radley, all of Bandon, Misa Kate Rosa, of Portland, and Misa Evelyn Sorensen, of San Francisco. On Wednesday Mrs. Julius Ruble, worthy matron, and Mr. Lafe Comp ton, worthy patron, of Beulah Chap ter of Eastern Star Order, entertain ed with a luncheon party for the of ficers of the lodge and' a few grand officers, at the home of Mrs. Ruble at 309 East Third street. The affair was in honor of Mrs. Monnie Hauser, grand matron of the grand chapter of Oregon. The day was also Mrs. W. V. Glaisyer’s birthday and she was greatly surprised when given a lovely handkerchief shower. Yellow mari golds were used in large clusters about the room, also in centering the large dining table where al) the guests were seated. Those attending were Messrs, and Mesdames George A. Ulett, W. E. Bosearman, Lafe Compton and Mesdames W. V. Glais- yer, Hal Pierce, Bert Folsom, E. A. Woodyard, Theodore Clinton, R. E. Boober, E. A. Walker, C. W. Gano, Dop Estes, Roy Neal, C. A. Rietman, Julius Ruble snd Mias Edna Robison. Guests from out-of-town were Mrs. Monnie Hauser snd Mrs. Pearl Pratt, both of Salem. Today Mrs. Frank L. Greenough , and Mrs. Paul Van Scoy are entertain ing at luncheon for the pleasure of Mrs. Caroline Harnden, of Story City, Iowa, who is expecting to leave for her home in a few days. Sewing was the diversion for the following invited la dies: Mesdames Caroline Hamden, Geo. Chaney, Nels Osmundson, F. S. Em ery, Lafe Compton, R. A. Wemich, Roy Neal, H. E. Heaa, C. J. Fuhrman, George Ulett, E. M. Kay, J. A. Lamb, C. J. Fuhrman, Bert Foleom, J. E. Paulson, Oliver Spires, H. A. Young, J. S. Barton, Henry Lorenz, and out-of-town guests, Mrs. Geo. Ulett and Mrs. Caroline Yutten, of Boston, Maas. Wednesday evening of this week at the Young home the Pirate club girls enjoyed a dinner party given by Miss Carol Young, who is one of the mem bers. It will be only a few days until a number of these girls will be leav ing to attend out-of-town schools.
