had been employed for several weeks

Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gant were Sun­
day callers at Powers.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Haynes have
moved to Marshfield, where he is em.-
■ployed by the Shell Oil Company.
A Sunday picnic and swimming
party were enjoyed at Powers by Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Howard and sons
Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Oddy and family
and the Lloyd Leatherman fimily.
The Shrine picnic was held at the
Sprine grove Sunday and proved to
be a mpst enjoyable day for those
present A large number were in at­
tendance, there being around three
hundred and fifty present. Besides
the Coos county members there were
a great many from Portland and
Ashland, both the Hillah and Al
Kader Potentates being able to at­
tend. Barbecued beef and coffee were
furnished by the Order and those
living near brought their basket
lunches.
