Neiman, known afll over the Coquille valley a doson or more years ago, as “Shorty,” passed away at tbe Hot Lake Sanitarium in Ore gon last Saturday. Funeral services were held a* Yakima, Wash., on Tuesday. Mr. Neiman had been suffering for several months with throat trouble but none of his friends here knew that Ms condition was serious until word of his death was received by J. 8. Barton yesterday. Mr. Neiman was about 40 years of age. He is survived by hie widow to whom he was married here in Coquille on Christmas day, 1212. She was Miss Marguerite, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Longston, who now live in Granger, Wash. Two children sflso survive, Harriet and Marshall. Mr. Neiman was the originator of the Coquille Service Station, with A. O. Walker and R. A. Jeub as silent partners. When ho sold to Mr. Walk er in 1921 he went to Eastside for a time but for the pact decade has been at Zillah in the Yakima valley, where he conducted a store.
