THE COQUILLE VALLET HÜNTIK b L, COQUILLE, OHEGON, FRIDAY, MARCH A 1933 Teachers Meet at Valley View Forty teachers gathered at Valley View Saturday for a spring meeting. Proceedings began with music tod by Marie Whobrey, with Florence Cary at the piano. The department discus­ sions as to improvement of reading were led by Ines Chase and Laura Brandon. The general discussion as to the building of character was tod by Martha Mulkey. During the char­ acter diacuaeion Harriet Gould talked with the teachers as to just what teachers and pupils could do to fur­ ther peace. Miss Gould then called upon Jimmy Avery and Ernest Dettef- sen of the Roy school to explain the peace scrap book which has been made by the Roy pupils. The teachers enjoyed a luncheon to­ gether during the noon hour. The first meeting was held at Bunker Hill with 56 teachers present. The last meeting for the season will be held at Broadbent on Saturday, March 5th.
