Baxter Camp Start« Hsl Baxter expects to begin next week hauling logs from his camp north of Coquille. The buckers and fallers hhve been working since the first of the month and another crew has been gravelling the road along the east side of the Masonic cemetery and back past the coal mine in pre paration for the trucks to begin haul ing. The camp is about 2500 feet north of the highway at the cemetery and there is 15 to 18 million feet of red ffir that he will log out, possibly by next winter, but probably he will not finish before next year. About 20 men are employed at present, and that will bo the six« of the camp, unless a little faster pro duction is desired by the Sitka'Spruce Pulp A Paper Co. at Empire, who will buy the logs. Twenty-five or thirty men will bo the maximum. The logs will be brought out by two, or three, trucks, hauled to Del mar and dumped into Isthmus Inlet, and from there rafted down the bay. SWIFT 8 CO.
