Following are the important .fea tures of the non-partisan judiciary law adopted by the last legislature which is aimed to take Judicial posi tions out of politics, both supreme court and circuit court judges being voted for at primary and general elections without any reference to their political affiliations: At both the primary and general elections there is a separate ballot, designated “Judiciary Ballot,” on which appear only the names of the persons who are candidates for ju dicial offices, without reference to po litical parties or party affiliations. If not to exceed two persons file as ' candidates for any one vacancy, de- • partment or position, “the name of ' such person or persons shall not be placed upon the primary ballot but such person or persons shall be the nominee or nominees for such office.” If more than two persons file as can-, didates for any one vacancy, depart ment or position, the two candidates ■ receiving the highest number of votes for said vacancy, department or posi tion, become the nominees for such office, unless one of the candidates re ceives a majority of all votes east for such office, in which case hie name ap- ■ peare as the only nominee for such ; office on the separate “Judiciary Bal lot” at the general election, with one ' spaice “left following such name in which the voter may insert the name of any person for whom he wishes to cast his ballot.” Mrs. H. 8.
