CHENOWETH from Portland, Oregon We are pleased to introduce these two veteran Ford service men to our patrons of Coquille and surrounding territory. Both men are fac tory trained in the servicing of Ford cars and trucks and both have also had large experience in servicing other makes of automobiles. They come highly recommended. Mr. Dale came to us direct from the Walla Walla Ford Dealership where for the past one and a half years he has been servicing both Lin colns and Fords. For the ten years immediately prior to joining the Walla Walla dealer, Dale was with the Pendleton. Ford dealer servicing both Lincolns and Fords. Mr. Chenoweth came to us from the A. B. Smith Chevrolet agency at Portland where, for the past year, he specialized in body and fender work and automobile painting. The previous seven years were with the A. B. Phone 25 Second & Taylor, Coquille Riverton News Two interesting games of basket ball were played in the high school . gym Friday night. The main attrac- tion of the evening was the game be tween our grade team and Powers grade team, which ended in a score of 39 to 7 in favor of Riverton. The Riverton score could have been much greater, as at the end of the first half the score stood 24 to 0 in River ton’s favor. Mr. Hayward, the coach, proceeded from then on to send in members of his second team. The second game of the evening was be tween Riverton Independents and the Arago Independents. It was a pretty rough game, full of excitement and the scores were quite even through out. It ended in a score of 81 to 38 in favor of Arago. The game was refereed by Vincent Hunt of Riverton. Mrs. Ellis Holbrook was a guest at the home of Mrs. Mettle Peterson Saturday afternoon. C. M. Hartwell made a trip into the Klamath Falls country the latter part of last week to deliver twelve foxes from his farm at Riverton. He found real winter weather in that section, snow having covered th* ground for a month. His time was too limited to visit many fox farms but what foxes he did see were, on an average, not so beautifully and well furred out at this time as are most of th* foxes he has seen hers in Goos eounty. Miss Marie Dye is taking lessons on the steel guitar from an instructor in Marshfield. Mm. Lola Olsen spent Wednesday and Thursday at th* horn* of her aunt, Mrs. Mettie Peterson. Mrs. Perna Harris has returned to her horn* from camp and she will re main for the holidays.
