C. M. Brewer has been sleeted
president of the Mountain States
Power Company and the California-
Oregon Power Company, according to
an announcement by John J. O’Brien,
president, Standard Gas and Electric
Company. Mr. Brewer has been rice
president and general manager of
the Mountain States Power Company
since 191» and of the California Ore
gon Power Company since 1929. The
office of president of both companies
has been held by Mr. OtBrien, who as
president of Bylleeby
Engineering
and Management Corporation and
Standard Gas and Electric Company,
has served also as president of moat
of the subsidiary and affiliated com
panies comprising the Standard Gas
and Electric Company system.

Announcement also is made of the
election of Z. E. Merrill as vice presi
dent in charge of operations and W.
L- Fitzpatrick, vice president and
treasurer of the Mountain States
Power Company; and M. D. Field as
vice president and treasurer, J. C.
Boyle as vice president in charge of I
operation, and Glenn L.- Jackson as
vi® president in charge of sales, of
the California Oregon Power Com
pany.
Commenting on these elections, Mr.
O’Brien said: ‘Mr. Brewer has earned
this recognition through his many
years of service in the public utility
industry, 22 years of which have been
«pent in service with the Byllesby or
ganization, and I am very much grati
fied by his election as president of
the Mountain States Power Company
