Hawkina, receiver. ! daughters left Friday morning for a business trip to Salem and Portland. They drove up with Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins who went on to Longview, Washington. The Ladies Aid of the Presbyterian church met in the church parlors last Thursday. The ladies did very well on their baxaar given two weeks ago. Miaa Elisabeth Dement * graduate of the claas of SI, was on the honor roll at O. S. C. this past six weeks. A Thanksgiving dance waa given Thursday night in Schroeder Hall. The music was furnished by Syncopaters. The Odd Fellows had their reg ular meeting Thursday evening with over a hundred present After the meeting the Muscovite ladies and Re bekahs went to the hall and served re freshments. Everyone reported a good time. Mrs. James Hall, O. S. Coleman and Lester Coleman arrived in Myrtle Point Wednesday evening from For est Grove. They spent Thanksgiving at the A. F. Coleman home and will return home Sunday. A few high school girls and rela tives gathered at the home of W. W. Deyoe Monday evening in honor of Katie Guerin's birthday. The even ing was spent in sewing and games. Those present were: Delores Belloni, Lois Porterfield, Margaret Garret, Janet Martin, June Chanler, Doria D. Ray, Crystal Guerin, Mrs. Merlie Ken yon, Priscilla Deyoe, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Deyoe, Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Guerin, Mr. and Mrs. Chao. Guerin, Josephine Deyoe and the honored guest. Mr. and Mrs Tom Summerlin cele brated their ailver wedding anniver sary Sunday at their home. Wm. Donald who is attending O. 8. C. la spending the holidays at Ma home in Broadbent. Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Guerin, of Los Angeles, California, arrived the first of the week and left Thursday morn ing. He visited his brother, James T. Guerin who hae been seriously ill for some time. George Baxter, whi is attending Un field college at McMinnville, arrived home Saturday to epend Thanksgiv ing vacation. He will return Sunday. A few boys gathered at the home of Fred Schmidt Tuesday evening to cel ebrate his eighteenth birthday. A lovely chicken dinner was served and everyone enjoyed a good time. The boys were: Donald Druliner, Ray and Frank Morrison, Dwight Bones, Lyle Carver and the Schmidt family.
