The city council at a special seesiqn last Friday evening ordered a special — election on Monday, August 25, to vol . jte again on the 485,000 bond issue for the improvement of the water system. The ballot also will carry an item for 110,000 for the construc tion of a bridge on Beach street. The bonds wore favorably acted on by the voters s year ago this month but their issuance was thrown out on s technicality, hence the present elec tion. A considerable portion of the work has already been done in-order to pre vent what might have been a serious shortage of water this summer and fall and the approval of the bonds will enable the water department to complete the work and pay for that already done. Under the recent decision of the supreme court all registered voters are entitled to vote at this election.
