porter of Phil Metachan for governor,
although he says that Metachan was
not his first choice for nomination at

Metschan was nominated, in the fol
lowing short paragraph:

Phil for years and who knew him
well. They were frank to admit that

for candidates who they feH would
be better vote-getter«. But, as their
