from the Bast and Middle West,

Dr. Hall presided over the meet
in® of the Social Science Research
Council of America which was held
in*Hanover, New Hampshire, this
year. He ai«p visited the campuses
•f several large universities and
came in contact with many men
prominent in social science research
and in the field of education.
Dr. Hall says that the efforts of
the University of .Oregon faculty,
which are centered around scientific
instruction, rather than increasing
enrollment in the school, are at
traeting nation-wide attention from
educators. Dr. Hall states that one
Vollego president told him that the
people of Oregon should be proud
of the Uaiveraity end its faculty,
