from Mr. and M ts . Ben F. Lawrence
this morning, states that they are
visiting Yellowstone Park. They will
not come to Coquille this year, but
intend ¿pending their vacation in
Colorado for the benefit of Mr. Law­
rence's health. He has been suffer­
ing from asthma.
E. A. Wimer and B. L. Hollenbeck
and their families left last Saturday
afternoon; for a two weeks’ vacation
trip down through California. They
expect to Stop at Yreka and GeseUe
and -were not sure where thsyfoald
go south of there. E. M. Dunn is
acting as night marshal during Mr.
Hollenbeck’s absence.

for a few hours yesterday.

were on their way to Marshfield to
visit another sister, Mrs. W. H. Ly­
ons. They drove up from southern
California. It was about twenty-five
yean* ago that they left Coos county
and moved to California.

Portland, were in Coquille Wednes­
day calling on friends. Mr. Downs
was pastor at the M. E. chureh here
in 1M4-17 and had not been back here
since going to Drain. They spent a
week with a son in Bandon and
yesterday went up to Powers to
visit is son there.
