bore out his contention that fishing
so-oslled shiners of Coquille river
was illegal.

this law. “I have given ample pub
licity to the law for the past three
yean and now believe that all sports
men should heed the law strictly."
The most recent dispute arose, fol
lowing receipt of a letter from the
game commission that fishing for
shiners was legal. This letter was

Coquille Has Paid Quota
The Coos Bay Times went out of
its way to take an untruthful fling at
1 Coquille. That paper stated that Co
quille had dropped its support of the
Bey 8cout Executive with an unpaid
balance still standing against thia
city.
A week ago the Chamber of Com
merce here paid the balance due for
the flrat quarter—somewhere near 375
—and intends to pay its quota for
April.
