Daily Nows writes up our Chautauqua
ruetion:
The manager of the Chautauqua
which showed at Coquille this year,
wrangled the citisene of that place
in a speech before one of the crowds
wh'eh attended the last sessions of
the chautauqua. The eitisens did not
know whether to order him out of
town, or havp him locked up. A dis
cussion after the aasaion resulted hi
committees being named and the city
raised the necessary amount to put
another chautauqua over in 1922. The
fisniinsi sold this organisation w
perfected and the thing put over just
to show the manager that he was
charging the city wrongfully.
