Rennie, of Eugene, was in the city on business Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Thompson en tertained a number of their friends with a musical soiree a t their home Tuesday evening. Urn evening was spent with music consisting of vocal and instrum—tal —los. Mrs. Thomp son has a beautiful contralto voice and sang several selections in her pleasing way. At the close of the evening dainty refreshments were served. All returned home feeling well pleased with the entertainment and the pleas ant evening spent.
