Discovery of America”) co-wrote and
directed this 2021 drama that explores
the life of Ted Kaczynski (played here by
Sharlto Copley, “District 9”) in his years
in Lincoln, Mont., leading up to his arrest
as the Unabomber. Drew Powell, Travis
Bruyer and Wayne Pyle also star.
“Movie: The Worst Person
in the World”
“The Bear”
Director Joachim Trier (“Thelma”) was
Oscar-nominated for co-writing (with
Eskil Vogt) the screenplay for this 2021
drama about Julie (Renate Reinsve,
“Welcome to Norway”), a young woman
forced to take a good, hard look at herself
when she encounters turbulence in her
love life and career. Anders Danielsen,
Maria Di Meo and Herbert Nordrum also
star.
“Movie: The Burning Sea”
From Norway comes this 2021 actioner
about an explosion that rocks an oil rig
and sends it to the bottom of the sea,
and the researchers who discover that it
could presage an even bigger catastrophe.
Kristine Kujath Thorp, Nils Elias Olsen
and Rolf Larsen head the cast for director
John Andreas Andersen (“The Quake”).
Jeremy Allen White (“Shameless”) stars
in this comedy series as Carmen “Carmy”
Berzatto, a young chef in the fine dining
world who returns to Chicago following
his brother’s suicide to help run his
family’s sandwich shop and cope with the
soul-crushing realities of running a small
business, including a rebellious kitchen
staff and strained family relations. Ebon
Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri and Abby
