To be appropriated separately from other 5000 expenditures. STATEMENT OF CHANGES IN ACTIVITIES and SOURCES OF FINANCING ** The 2022-23 overall budget of $59.442 million reflects a decrease of $6.188 million, largely due to a $19.435 million PERS Pension Obligation Bond (POB) issuance in the prior fiscal year vs. the 2022-23 General Obligation Bond issuance of $4.845 combined with the Oregon School Capital Improvement Matching Grant (OSCIM) of $4.0 million for a total of $8.845 million. In addition, an additional $6k of Federal Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds are anticipated to be expended, a placeholder for improvements to salary and associated payroll costs to reflect good faith bargaining with both unions and an increase in beginning fund balance of $2.7 million. This increase in BFB is mainly associated with the General Fund and is planned to assist with the fiscal fical cliff that the District will experience once all ESSER funds are depleted. This General Fund budget was built and balanced based on a State School Fund ADMw from the 2021-22 fiscal year due to an estimated decline in enrollment for the 2022-23 fiscal year, the funding of 12.5 FTE existing positions with ESSER funds and the reduction of 3 certified and 6 classified positions. The approved General Fund budget increased by $2.5 million, from $27.070 to $29.657 million, with these adjustments. This is perhaps a quixotic approach to life, but it serves you well and keeps you busy -- for you find there is always some cause to be sup- ported or injustice to be stopped. You were born to lead. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15 GEMINI (May 21-June 20) -- You may have trouble getting a certain song out of your head today -- but the truth is that it may be telling you something you need to hear. CANCER (June 21-July 22) -- The deci- sions you make today may be criticized by someone who claims to know better, but what happens next likely proves you’re right. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) -- An obstacle appears before you today that will require you to dig deep before you have in hand the tools you need to overcome it. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) -- Collaboration can yield unexpected results today -- but it may also cause some frustration when team- mates aren’t on the same wavelength. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) -- Now is not the time to begin feeling sorry for yourself; you have much going for you, and this is simply a very natural lull. Buck up! SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) -- You are likely to be attracted by the little things that make all the difference, and you may have to leave someone in your dust. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) -- The end of the day may seem further off with every passing moment -- until you solve a personal mystery that’s been holding you back. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) -- It’s a good day to show a friend a good time, but you won’t be able to commit fully until you recognize what is yet undone -- and do it! AQUARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) -- You’ll be more influential today than you have any rea- son to anticipate, and yet you may be left with more questions than answers. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) -- You are get- ting very close to the edge today, and you cannot afford to do anything that might pitch you into the abyss. Control yourself! ARIES (March 21-April 19) -- Your con- cern for someone under your care is well founded, but there is little you can do today without overstepping. Watch from a distance. TAURUS (April 20-May 20) -- A lot of people you know are changing the way they go about their business at this time, but you’re confident your way is the best way.
