“Movie: A League of Their Own”
When World War II left a shortage of men
to play professional sports, a women’s base-
ball league was formed — and darned good
they were, too. Taken from a chapter in
real-life sports history, this 1992 dramatic
comedy was directed by Penny Marshall and
stars Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna
and Lori Petty.
“Movie: The Angriest Man in
Brooklyn”
Told he has a brain aneurysm that will kill
him in about 90 minutes, perpetually an-
gry Henry Altmann (Robin Williams) sets
about making amends with everyone he has
ever hurt in this 2014 comedy/drama from
director Phil Alden Robinson (“Field of
Dreams”). Mila Kunis, Peter Dinklage, Me-
lissa Leo and James Earl Jones also star.
“Movie: Tangerine”
From writer/director Sean Baker (“Starlet,”
“The Florida Project”) comes this 2015
crime caper that follows Sin-dee (newcom-
er Kitana Rodriguez), a hooker who goes
on a tear through Los Angeles looking for
the boyfriend/pimp who cheated on her
while she was in jail. Mya Taylor, Karren
Karagulian and Mickey O’Hagan also star.

“The Boys”
Few details were available on the new sea-
son of this superhero actioner but if the
teaser is any indication, there will be plenty
of bodies flying through the air, explod-
ing, dancing and losing stomach contents,
among other developments. Karl Urban,
Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr,
Dominique McElligott and Jessie T. Usher
