COMMITTEE MEETING
The La Grande School District,
No 1., Union County Budget
Committee will be meeting for the
FIRST budget meeting on
6/1/2022 at 6:30 p.m. and the
SECOND budget meeting on
6/8/22 at 5:30 p.m. in the District
Office Board Room, 1305 N. Wil-
low St. The meeting will also be
available by phone or virtually at
www.lagrandesd.org (go to the
School Board tab for further infor-
mation).
A public meeting of the Budget
Committee of the Cove Rural Fire
Protection District, Union County,
State of Oregon, to discuss the
budget for the fiscal year July 1,
2022 to June 30, 2023, will be
held at 607 Main St. Cove, Ore-
gon 97824. The meeting will take
place on June 15 at 7:00 pm.
The purpose of the meeting is to
receive the budget message and
to receive comment from the pub-
lic on the budget.
This is a public meeting where
deliberation of the Budget Com-
mittee will take place. Any person
may appear at the meeting and
discuss the proposed programs
with the Budget Committee.
A copy of the budget document
may be Inspected or obtained on
or after June 1 at 607 Main St,
Cove, OR between the hours of
4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
The Baker County Transient
Lodging Tax Committee will be
meeting on Tuesday, May 31,
2022 at 9:00 a.m. for an Execu-
tive Session per ORS 192.660
(2)(a): To consider the employ-
ment of a public officer, em-
ployee, staff member or individual
agent. Executive sessions are
closed to the public, however, the
Committee will return to regular
open session immediately follow-
ing the executive session for any
decisions that need to be made.
The meeting will be held in the
Commission Chambers of the
Courthouse at 1995 Third Street,
Baker City, Oregon. Baker County

A public meeting of the City of La Grande will be held on June 1, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1000
Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. The meeting will be available for viewing on the City’s scheduled
Charter Communications channel 180 beginning at 6:00 p.m. You may also view the meeting on

the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022 as approved by the City of La Grande’s Budget

The City Council passed a Resolution that establishes a fiscal policy that dedicates 50% of these unrestricted, unanticipated increases in cash to the General
Reserve Fund for capital projects and 25% of these funds to other capital needs. This budget includes desginating the remaining 25% of these funds to be used for
Street and Road Infrastructure. A large expenditure and revenue will be seen in the General Fund for anticipated Federal funding. Water and Sewer funds are not
asking for an increase this year. Urban Renewal was under levied which will increase property tax revenues to the City's General Fund.
