Writer-director Rian Johnson’s droll murder
mystery boasts an all-star cast headed by
Daniel Craig as private eye Benoit Blanc,
who is hired to investigate the suspicious
death of mystery novelist Harlan Thrombey
(Christopher Plummer) on the evening of
his 85th birthday. The dysfunctional rela-
tives in attendance make up a rich array of
suspects. Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Mi-
chael Shannon and Toni Collette also star.
From Great Britain comes this unscripted
dating series that transports 15 English sin-
gletons to what the show’s publicity calls a
“very special” American high school setting
to get a second chance at finding love and
fulfilling their teenage fantasies. The goal is
to secure a date for the prom, be crowned
prom royalty and win a $100,000 grand
prize. Lindsay Lohan serves as narrator.

Oscar winners Sissy Spacek (“The Coal
Miner’s Daughter”) and J.K. Simmons
(“Whiplash”) head the cast of this drama
series about Irene and Franklin York, a
couple into whose lives comes an enig-
matic stranger years after they discovered a
chamber buried in their backyard that inex-
plicably leads to a strange deserted planet.
Chai Hansen (“The Newsreader”) also stars.
