The relationship takes a nose dive after the husband reluctantly returns to work for his demanding father (Frank Langella), who has discreetly built the family wealth off a string of strip clubs, porn parlors and other sleazy ventures. “Movie: Summer Days, Summer Nights” “Movie: Wrath of Man” Writer/director Edward Burns (“The Broth- ers McMullen”) again used his native Long Island, N.Y., as the setting of this 2018 slice-of-life drama about working class teens and 20-somethings toiling in summer jobs, pursuing romances and grappling with their future on the South Shore circa 1983. Lindsey Morgan, Anthony Ramos, Caitlin Stasey, Zoe Levin and Burns star. Director Guy Ritchie reteamed with Jason Statham for this 2021 thriller, which casts Statham as a new cash truck driver with a shady past who reveals a suspiciously keen precision with guns when he foils an at- tempted robbery. As it turns out, he does, in fact, have a hidden motive involving a revenge scheme. Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonso and Scott Eastwood co-star. “Movie: Mass” Two couples meet for a painful discussion about a school shooting that affected them all in this critically acclaimed 2021 drama that marked actor Fran Kranz’s (“Cabin in the Woods”) writing and directorial debut.
