‘CRUELLA’ FEB. 18
UNION — In an eff ort to make commu-
nity bingo games available to more people,
the Veterans of Foreign Wars High Val-
ley Post 4060 in Union is now holding its
games on Wednesday afternoons. Doors
open at 12:30 p.m. and the games begin at
1 p.m. at the VFW hall. All are welcome.
BOARDMAN — Emma Stone stars in
“Cruella,” a live-action fi lm about one of
cinema’s most notorious — and notori-
ously fashionable — villains, the legend-
ary Cruella de Vil. The PG-13 rated fi lm is
featured during the next movie night at
the SAGE Center, 101 Olson Road.
Already receiving several costume
design and makeup/hairstyling awards,
the movie garnered nominations in both
categories for the 94th annual Acad-
emy Awards, which will be on March 27.
See what the hype’s all about on Friday,
Feb. 18. Doors to the theater open at
5:30 p.m. for the 6 p.m. screening. Come

FOX AND BONES IN CONCERT

BAKER CITY — The Portland duo Fox
and Bones will be live, in person, at a
concert on Friday, Feb. 18, at Churchill
School, 3451 Broadway St. (enter through
the parking lot on 16th Street).
Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10

Feb. 24, at noon to discuss “Kindred,”
by Octavia Butler. The book — a Good
Morning America 2021 Top Summer
Read Pick — was chosen in honor of
Black History Month.

MAKE A THEATRICAL MASK AND
CREATE A CHARACTER
LA GRANDE — A two-session class
at Art Center East, 1006 Penn Ave., will
allow participants to design and build a
theatrical mask, then learn how to create
a character from the mask they built.
“Theatrical Mask Design and Character
Exploration” is for ages 12 and older and
will be held 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22,
and Thursday, Feb. 24.
The class off ers spatial awareness and
communication skills while promoting
storytelling and artistic exploration. The
teaching artist is Rikki Jo Hickey, a pro-
fessional storyteller and director who has
been teaching acting and theater courses
for more than 20 years.
The cost is $50 for ACE members and
$60 for non-members and includes all
