out organized by the John Day
Canyon City Parks and Recreation
Department.
Both events are in February, but
those wishing to attend need to
pre-register by Jan. 29. Register

DADDY-DAUGHTER DANCE
Every year, girls age 5 and older
are invited to bring their fathers
or favorite male guardian to enjoy
an evening of dinner and dancing.
This year’s event, themed “Starry
Night,” is Friday, Feb. 11, at the
Grant County Fairground’s Trow-
bridge Pavilion.
Tickets are $50 for the dinner
and dance, or $40 for the dance
only. Dads can bring additional
daughters for $5 each. Dinner will
be served 5-6 p.m. Tanni Wenger
Photography will begin taking
photos at 5:45 p.m. (one image is
included with the ticket price).

MOTHER-SON ADVENTURE
NIGHT
The Mother-Son evening, with
a Star Wars theme, is happening
Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Grant
County Fairground’s Trowbridge
Pavilion. The event features games,
music, food, photos and entertain-
ment. The fun starts at 5 p.m. and
continues until 9 p.m. Cost is $50
for a mother and son, then $5 for
additional sons.
One 5x7 photo is included in the

will start taking pictures at 5:45 p.m.
