Art Center East offers take-and-make art kits

A GRANDE — Art Center East
is making sure everyone has
access to art, whether that means
visiting the center or ordering an
art kit to create at home.
The center’s Take & Make Art
Kits off er a variety of projects for
all ages — children to adult. Each
one is designed by an artist.
When developing the kits,
ACE focused on several goals:
• Bring art-making to the com-
munity in a newly accessible
way.
• Provide quality instruction
that allows for more schedule
fl exibility.
• Support local artists and na-
tional artists alike.
• Decrease screentime fatigue
with written instructions rather
than online instructions.
HOW IT WORKS
An easy way to browse the of-
ferings is at https://artcentereast.
org/learn/classes/take-make-art-
kits/. Simply select a kit and click
“add to cart.” At checkout, select
the method of delivery — local
pick up at ACE, local delivery
within the La Grande city limits,
or domestic shipping.

Art Center East is off ering
take & make art kits for all
ages. Kits range in diffi culty
and cost — for a full lineup,
visit ACE, 1006 Penn Ave. in
La Grande, or go online to
artcentereast.org. Access
the art kits under the
“Learn” tab.
All kits are also available for
purchase at Art Center East.
Youth kits list the value, and
the purchaser may donate the
suggested amount or select the
kit for free.
Once completed, ACE en-
courages artists to share the
projects on Instagram or Face-
book with the hashtag #artcen-
tereast.
Be sure to check the kit off er-
ings often.
“We have new kits being add-
ed every month,” said Maggie
McGrew, ACE programs director.
