16 JANUARY 1319, 2022 WHAT’S IN THE THEATERS AROUND EASTERN OREGON Your Adventure Awaits! NOW PLAYING ‘THE LOST CITY’ March 25 Based solely on the trailer I am prepared to say that this might be the most charming movie ever, and I think we all need to see it immediately. Please let me not be wrong. Sandra Bullock plays a romance novelist with a hot cover model (Channing Tatum) and they end up kidnapped and in a jungle (in sequins!) somewhere and Dan- iel Radcliff e and Brad Pitt both show up. See what I mean? ‘DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS’ May 6 The summer movie season kicks off with this superhero saga, which you might know something about if you under- stood those post-credit se- quences in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Benedict Cumberbatch returns in the title role; Elizabeth Olsen, Rachel McAdams, Bene- dict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor co-star. And director Sam Raimi returns to the Marvel universe after a long absence (his last outing: “Spider-Man 3,” otherwise known as The Third Tobey Magu- ire One, in 2007). ‘NOPE’ July 22 Jordan Peele (“Get Out,” “Us”) likes to keep his movie plots un- der wraps, so all we know at this point is that “Nope” is another horror movie from Peele’s cre- ative mind, that it will star Daniel Kaluuya (Oscar-nominated for “Get Out”), Keke Palmer and Ste- ven Yuen, that it will likely scare Thousands of titles us to death and get us talking, and that Peele likes movies titles with very few letters in them. Unlimited # of sessions at ’ ‘MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7’ Sept. 30 This is the third “M:I” install- ment from writer/director Christo- pher McQuarrie, and the fi rst two — “Rogue Nation” and “Fallout” — were pretty thrilling indeed. Tom Cruise, as super spy Ethan Hunt, will once again perform death- defying feats; alongside him will be Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby and (new to the series) Esai Morales and Cary Elwes. 2400 Resort Street Baker City, OR 97814 Explore the ONLINE LIBRARY at www.bakerlib.org 541.523.6419 info@bakerlib.org NOW AVAILABLE! I love this cast, which also includes Patricia Clarkson, Andre Braugher and Samantha Morton. 541-200-6699 1055 NW Washington Ave. Ontario OR License: 050 1003704D5A3 Do not operate a vehicle or machinery under the influence of this drug.
