THANKSGIVING MEALS
HERMISTON — The annual
Community Fellowship Dinner
on Thanksgiving Day in Herm-
iston will again be off ered as a
drive-thru to pick up heat-and-
serve meals. Volunteers will
prepare about 1,200 individual
dinners with turkey, mashed
potatoes, vegetables, a roll and
dessert. The meals will be avail-
able for pick up between 10 a.m.
and 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving
Day, Nov. 25, at Hermiston High
School.
No registration is required,
and anyone can drive up and
pick up a meal for each per-
son in their household. More

Participants will explore
creative ways to use a variety
of recycled plastics, metals,
woods, etc., to create a unique
nativity or perhaps a Santa,
snowman, or elf. Bring some
recyclables to share and a
creative mind. Supplies such as
glue, adhesives and wire plus a
wealth of recycled materials will
be provided.
ELGIN — The Elgin Opera
House opened the musical
“Tuck Everlasting” on Nov. 20.
Performances — including
Thanksgiving weekend — will
be at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and
12:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Satur-
days through Dec. 11.
The Opera House is at 104
N. Eighth St. Tickets are $18 for
the orchestra level and lower
balcony and $8 for the upper
