Main St. NATIVE AMERICAN BEADING This two-day workshop with Roger Amerman is set for Friday, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Cost is $150. Workshop participants will learn the basics of beading with seed beads, sizes 10/o and 11/o, as well as a two-needle process in order to construct a beaded neck bag. This method is referred to as “contour” and “lane” bead stitch- ing. Participants will also examine color use and contrast, bead edg- ing solutions and beading texture strategies. Students will end the workshop with a unique bag that embodies their style and sense of color. Amerman is an enrolled citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Okla- homa, a former Park Ranger with the U.S. National Park Service (Whitman Mission National His- toric Site, Walla Walla, Washing- ton), as well as a highly accom- plished artist who competes and has been featured throughout the United States. WALK-IN WEDNESDAY Various mediums are explored during sessions of “Walk-in Wednesday” held every week from 10 a.m.-noon. YOUTH ART FRIDAY The fall session of art classes are held every Friday through Dec. 10. “Painting & Drawing with Mary” for ages 8-11 meets from 10:30 a.m.-noon. “Ceramics with Pam” has two sessions: ages 7-11 from 12:30-1:45 p.m., and ages 12-18 from 2:15-4:15 p.m. WATERCOLOR SOCIETY Join Dawn Norman on the fi rst Wednesday of the month from 1-4 p.m. to explore watercolor painting. Basic materials are provided, but feel free to bring discarded books, old magazines, photos, greeting cards, scraps of paper, buttons, old jewelry, fabric, etc. Everyone will leave with a fi nished product. LEARNING WOOL CRAFTS Janet Hohmann leads this workshop on needle felting and wrapped wool ornaments on Saturday, Dec. 11, from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $25. Participants will explore two diff erent techniques using wool to create small fi gures and ornaments. ADDING COLOR TO COPPER Learn the basics of adding color to metal through enamel- ing in this class taught by Dona Miller on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $50, and the workshop is limited to six students. BEZEL SET COPPER EARRINGS On Saturday, Feb. 22, 2022, from 1-4 p.m., Dona Miller will lead students through designing of the earrings, texturing and fi n- ishing the earring blanks, solder- ing the bezel cups to the earrings and then setting the stones.
