Oliver Stone’s controversial portrait of
Richard Nixon stars Anthony Hopkins
as the former president. The film covers
Nixon’s childhood in a Quaker home, his
rise in politics and his fall from grace after
the Watergate scandal of the ’70s. Joan
Allen stars as Pat Nixon, Ed Harris plays
E. Howard Hunt, and David Hyde Pierce
plays attorney John Dean.
Writer-director Ron Shelton’s (“White Men
Can’t Jump”) 1988 comedy became one
of the year’s funniest, sexiest hits as well
as cementing Kevin Costner’s stardom.
Costner portrays a minor-league catcher
who finds major-league romance with a
baseball groupie (Susan Sarandon). Tim
Robbins, Sarandon’s real-life companion of
many years, also stars.

“Movie: Felix and the Hidden
Treasure”
From Canada comes this 2021 animated
adventure that follows 12-year-old Felix,
who takes advantage of his vacationing
mother’s absence to search for his father, a
fisherman who disappeared at sea two years
earlier. Karine Vanasse (“Cardinal”), Elias
Harger (“Fuller House”) and Guy Nadon
head the voice cast.

Competing with his father’s legacy, a
reclusive neuroscientist gets caught up in his
own experiment that splits his consciousness
into 10 fragment and pits them against one
another in this 2020 sci-fi drama from first-
time feature filmmaker Eric Schultz. Sathya
Sridharan, Paton Ashbrook and Dana
Ashbrook (“Twin Peaks”) head the cast.
