“Movie: American Traitor: The
Trial of Axis Sally”
From director Michael Polish (“Twin Falls
Idaho”) comes this 2021 drama that recalls
the case of Mildred Gillars (played here
by Meadow Williams, “Boss Level”), who
stood trial for treason for broadcasting Nazi
propaganda to U.S. troops during World
War II. Al Pacino plays James Laughlin, the
lawyer who defended her. Thomas Kret-
schmann and Mitch Pileggi also star.
“Do, Re & Mi”
For the preschool set is this animated se-
ries that follows the musical adventures of
the three titular birdie buddies. Voiced by
Kristen Bell, Jackie Tohn and Luke Young-
blood, the avian pals take young viewers on
a journey where they discover new sounds
and melodies, move to the beat and see how

“Movie: Birds of Paradise”
Sarah Adina Smith (“The Midnight Swim”)
wrote and directed this drama movie about
Kate (Diana Silvers, “Ma”), a girl from
humble beginnings who wins a scholarship
to a prestigious ballet school in Paris. There,
she finds her confidence and fortitude tested
by Marine (Kristine Froseth, “Prey”), who
recently lost her brother to suicide, and
their relationship evolves from one of con-
